Biography
Josa Comstock is a professional photographer and videographer capturing a wide variety of subjects in Illinois, Wisconsin and all around the world. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Commercial Photography from Columbia College Chicago in 2019. Josa specializes in capturing weddings, equine & lifestyle. In addition to freelancing, Josa has also worked for top equine photographers across the nation including but not limited to; John Borys Photography, Andrew Ryback Photography, Susan J Stickle Photography, ESI Photography, Shawn McMillen Photography, Alison Hartwell Photography and Swan Studios LLC. |

Where it all started...
My interest in photography started at a young age. As a child I would watch my dad capture our family vacations with a little point and shoot camera. My dad got me my first DSLR camera (aka the real deal) and I never put it down! Being an avid equestrian, my first subjects were mainly my own horses but slowly this evolved into photographing horse shows, portraits and of course my family vacations. I soon found myself being hired as a self taught freelance photographer and enjoying every minute of it. I decided to switch my major from dance to photography in 2017. I fully immersed myself for the next 2 years in everything photographic and in May 2019 I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Commercial Photography from Columbia College Chicago and created this business. My passion for capturing is never ending and it continually brings me so much joy to be immortalizing memories for people to cherish. |

Who am I?
When I'm not capturing or editing you are most likely to find me spending time with my fiancé, family and many critters. I'm an avid equestrian, dog and cat person. I also have a passion for the performing arts and occasionally you'll catch me on stage performing with L-Theory Collective Dance. Any other time you probably won't find me in town. I love to gain new experiences via traveling and of course to capture it all!
